The thought of those sheer walls is giving me the heebigeebies now! It's funny, I was much more worried about being in the long tunnel waiting 15 minutes or so for the lift! The cruise was a great adventure, we got to see a lot of different places in a short time. Oh wow, thank you Steve. Absolutely did not spot this! Hope I get chance to try that out one day. Used the sunbeds quite a bit and found that I could just about trap the towel between the sunbed and the rail but it wasn't perfect when it was really windy :-))

That's really interesting! I had some concerns about it before we left. I was worried it would be difficult to sleep if it was moving around too much. That was fine, but the room felt slightly claustrophobic and it was weird knowing that you couldn't go anywhere other than on the (giant) ship. As I have an insurance background, I tend to assume the worst and thought the ship was "probably" going to sink at some point. When we got back, I found out that the same ship was caught in a storm in Majorca last August, broke free and hit an oil tanker. So glad I didn't know that before!!!

Aha! Didn't know you'd been on cruises, but I should have guessed. Yeah, it was brilliant. I couldn't believe how giant the ship was and how spacious it was inside. Really loved the view from the top deck too. Where have you been on your cruises?

They've change it again haven't they! On mine, it has moved to the panel in the middle/right of the PC screen. Sometimes you have to scroll down to see recurring meetings. I use the same meeting for every tutorial so it would be a nightmare to lose this again. Have you managed to find this?

Yes, I've built models in R before, using GLMs, XGBOOST and neural nets. Also built a basic neural net in R, following a tutorial. I really enjoy data science work (used to manage an insurance pricing team in London). The main reason for switching to Python is to make use of CUDA, because it can do maths on the GPU. I would really like to figure out how to make Mandelbrot plots using the GPU as they're 50 times faster! The best tutorials assume you want to make large language models, so I'm going along with that for now :-))

I think it's possible that it might have been a distant helicopter which I couldn't hear but, apart from that, I have no idea what this is. I'm sure it's not a satellite or a plane. Pleased I managed to get it on video. I'm always looking at that bit of sky and have seen a few odd things over the years.

Thank you Loz. I've seen the ISS before. One time, I saw the shuttle chasing the ISS across space, it was incredible :-)) In my experience, objects in orbit are smaller and less bright than this. Have seen a few satellites over Cannock Chase in the last few years, got one on video once too. They look small, sharp and very fast/steady.

Thank you! Yes, absolutely amazing. Their response is really interesting, something about "a whole fleet of them..." I've heard some interesting theories but I still think it's a mystery. Also been following David Grusch and his revelations which are similar to Bob Lazar. I don't know what to think of it all but it's fun!

@@Bangford same here. David claims are credible, but need 1st hand whistleblowers to come forward. The only choices are 1 made up, 2 US tech they want to protect but unlikely, they wouldn’t put harms way in real-time testing, 3 an adversary or 4 not from earth.
